STUDENTS' REPRESETATIVE COUNCIL (SRC)
Dear 2023/2024 Awudome SHS first year Students,
You are welcome to Awudome Senior High School.
The Student Representative Council (SRC) of Awudome Senior High School is the student leadership elected to steer the affairs of the student body. The SRC also represents the student body in school decision making processes. The SRC is guided by the slogan “The Voice of the Students”.
Over the years the SRC has embarked on enviable and life-saving projects that have helped the students and the school at large.
COMPLETED PROJECTS
As far as the SRC is concerned, the total wellbeing of the student is important, hence, the need to support the school in the area of health. The SRC, thus, procured a Toyota Vitz Saloon car to serve as a health service car for transporting students from the school’s infirmary to the clinic or hospitals in emergency cases.
The SRC has also refurnished the school’s Eicher bus which broke down for about ten years. This initiative has helped eliminate the struggle that management and the student body faced in acquiring transport services for educational tours and excursions, national science and mathematics quiz, debate contests as well as inter-school sport competitions.
NEW PROJECTS
The SRC also has a plan of purchasing a new Public Address System that is going to be of great help to the institution. Currently AWUSCO has just one mixer and two speakers which are unreliable during times of great need. This new initiative would reduce the problems the school encounters when hosting programs and events.
Also on board is the school canteen extension project. The extension would create more space in the canteen, reduce stress and improve time management.
SRC ATTIRE
The SRC produces Friday wear for students. The Friday wear comprises a Lacoste for both boys and girls, blue-black trousers for the boys and a blue-black box pleated skirt for the girls. The payments for the Friday wear are to be made by students upon arrival at the school.
